LEDFC Committee member roles and responsibilities​​​

​​CHAIRPERSON

​

Chad Potter

​

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Club

  • Chair the Committee meetings and AGM, assist the Secretary to produce the agendas and head the Committee in making decisions for the benefit of the whole Club including disciplinary matters

  • Oversee the work of the Club Committee

  • Advocate of the football Club for the local community

 

SECRETARY​

Brett Gerrard - DJFL (U7-U12)

Charlotte Hartley - DGLL (Girls)

​

Chad Potter - DCFL (U13-U18)

​

  • The main purpose of this job is that of principal administrator for the Club per league

  • The Secretary carries out or delegates all the administrative duties that enable the club and its members to function effectively

  • Deals with club to league communication (individual team requests e.g. free weekends and general enquiries)

  • Manages official contact between Cub and County FA and other clubs

  • Support teams and officials, as necessary

TREASURER

 

Simon Clark and Matt Watson

​

  • The main purpose of this job is to look after the finances of the club

  • Create annual income and expenditure sheets and balance sheets

  • Create and maintain a cash book

  • Ensure all payments and fines are paid on time and recorded

WELFARE OFFICER

​

Mat Derbyshire

​

To be clear about the club's responsibilities when running activities for children and young people.


This involves:

​​​

  • Ensuring these responsibilities are well understood by others

  • Working with the Youth League Welfare Officer (YLWO);

  • Working with your County FA Welfare Officer;

  • Promoting The FA’s RESPECT Programme and helping to develop best practice processes;

  • To help club personnel understand what their duty of care towards children and young people actually means and entails on a day-to-day basis

DEVELOPMENT COACH

​

Jamie Barlow

​

  • Deliver structured early years football sessions for Reception and Year 1 players, focusing on fundamental skills and enjoyment.

  • Actively encourage parent involvement and volunteering within the club.

  • Support and mentor parents transitioning into coaching roles, particularly within the U7 age group.

​

COMMUNICATIONS

​​

TBC - volunteers very welcome

​

  • Share updates about events and club news and Maintain social media accounts

  • Maintain content on the club's website ensuring it is regularly updated with the latest information

  • Help celebrate team achievements and promote club activities. 

​​

KIT AND EQUIPMENT OFFICER

​

Dave Woolley

​

  • Keep inventory list of all equipment

  • Order new equipment within approved budget

  • Inspect equipment for safety and wear

​

Nick Brown and Chad Potter

​

  • Oversee and co-ordinate all matchday and training kit management, ensuring availability, organization, and presentation standards.

  • Act as the primary point of contact with suppliers to manage orders, resolve kit-related issues, and ensure timely delivery of all equipment requirements.

​

EVENTS

  • To help raise funds for the Club by co-ordinating fund-raising events

  • Ensuring events and activities are properly licensed with local authorities

  • Ensuring that funds are properly accounted for and information is passed on to the Treasurer
